We are currently recruiting an experienced Multi Trade Carpenter to work for our client based in Kensington and Chelsea.
Job Role
The Multi Trade Carpenter will be responsible for carrying out a variety of carpentry and multi-trade maintenance works across residential properties managed by the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. The role involves delivering high-quality repairs and maintenance while ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. The successful candidate will be required to work within occupied properties and must provide a professional and customer-focused service at all times.
Key Duties & Responsibilities of a Multi Trade Carpenter:
• Carry out carpentry repairs including doors, frames, skirting boards, locks, kitchens, cupboards, and flooring.
• Complete additional multi-trade works including basic plumbing, tiling, plastering, and decorating where required.
• Undertake both planned and reactive maintenance tasks across residential properties.
• Use the supplied PDA system to receive, manage, and update job tasks.
• Ensure all work is completed within allocated timeframes and to a high standard.
• Maintain accurate job records and report completed work through the system.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety policies and procedures at all times.
• Work professionally within residents’ homes, ensuring minimal disruption.
• Identify and report any additional repair works that may be required.
• Maintain the company vehicle, tools, and equipment in good working condition.
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours a week.
Requirements of a Multi Trade Carpenter:
• NVQ Level 2 in Carpentry or relevant trade qualification (minimum).
• Proven experience working as a Multi Trade Carpenter, ideally within social housing or facilities management.
• Experience using SH (Service Hub) or similar repairs management systems.
• Full UK driving licence with a clean driving record.
• Ability to carry out other trades including basic plumbing, plastering, tiling, or decorating.
• Must have own hand tools.
• Good communication skills and ability to work professionally in occupied properties.
• Strong understanding of Health & Safety regulations.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to delivering high-quality workmanship.
