We are currently recruiting for an experienced HR Business Partner to work for our client based in London
Job Role Overview:
The HR Business Partner job role is a key position within the Human Resources team, responsible for delivering high-quality HR advisory and business partnering services.
The HR Business Partner job role requires a proactive and experienced HR professional capable of managing complex employee relations matters while contributing to strategic HR initiatives.
Responsibilities of HR Business Partner:
- Work closely with various departments, increasingly in a consultancy role, assisting line managers to understand and implement policies and procedures
- Liaise with a range of people involved in policy areas such as staff performance and health and safety
- Recruit staff, which involves developing job descriptions and person specifications, preparing job adverts, checking application forms, shortlisting, interviewing and selecting candidates
- Make sure that prospective staff have the right to work at the organisation
- Develop and implement policies on issues like working conditions, performance management, equal opportunities, disciplinary procedures and absence management
- Negotiate with staff and their representatives (for example, trade union officials) on issues relating to pay and conditions, contracts and redundancy packages
- Administer payroll and maintain employee records
Working hours: 36 hours per week
Key Requirements of HR Business Partner:
- Proven work experience as an HR Business Partner
- Understanding of working in a start-up environment
- Understanding of business and management
- Understanding of current UK employment law
- Curiosity and a willingness to challenge organisational culture where necessary
- Computer literacy (MS Office applications, in particular)
- Excellent organisational skills, with an ability to prioritise important projects
- Strong phone, email and oral communication skills
